Labor Day Events in Northern Michigan

The Labor Day weekend is the last big celebration of summer in Northern Michigan and there are so many activities to enjoy. From sidewalk sales to the Mackinac Bridge walk, Up North is the place to be for this holiday weekend.

Bay Harbor
Shop til you drop in Bay Harbor September 2-4 at the Village of Bay Harbor.

Beaver Island
Saturday, September 3 at 8am, join in on the Beaver Island walk. The marathon begins at 9am and the half marathon starts at 11am followed by the harbor run at 11:15am.

Boyne City
Boyne City has a line up of activities including a car show on September 3 at Veterans Memorial Park beginning at 8am. Awards will be given at 2pm followed by a parade of cars at 3pm. Drag races take place from 12-6pm on Sunday, September 4 at the airport.

Charlevoix
The Royal Craft Show draws crowds on Saturday and Sunday at Castle Farms. The Little Mighty Bridge Walk is at 11am on September 5.

Harbor Springs
Street Sales and Celebrations is an all day event Saturday, September 3, 9:30am-4:30am, including kid's activities and music.

Horton Bay
Horton Bay celebrates with a candle light bridge walk at 8pm to cross the Horton Bay bridge.

Mackinac Island
Music is in the air for the Labor Day Jazz weekend September 2-5 at the Grand Hotel. The Horn's Bar Labor Day Regatta sets sail at the Mackinac Island Yacht club on Saturday, September 3.

Mackinaw City
The event of the weekend is the Mackinac Bridge Walk on Labor Day. Buses transport walkers from Mackinaw City to St. Ignace where the walk begins. Walkers can begin at 7am.
