June 16, 2012

The Petoskey waterfront celebrates history and food every June with the Historic Festival and Taste of the North. A fundraiser of the Little Traverse History Museum and Little Traverse Historical Society, the festival includes culinary delights, entertainment, and activities for the entire family.

Activities for the 2011 event are listed here; check back for the 2012 lineup.

10am-3pm: Music on the entertainment stage
11am-1 pm: face painting with Kookie the Clown and balloon twisting
1-3pm: petting zoo, giant game boards, silent auction, wine tasting
11am-2pm: Taste of the North with foods from 18 local restaurants. Tickets for samplings are $2 each.

Throughout the day, pop up croquet matches will take place. The Michigan Antique Flywheelers will have exhibits, too.
